Bleeds: Do leave a 1/2" bleed all around a job for folding; leave 1/4" live area all around box for corners and edges
Paper Stock: be sure to check with Friend Box to determine paper weight from 60# text to 100# text; do not use coverweight and use only coated 1 side paper, other side must not be coated
Varnishes: Full varnish or spot varnish is fine: avoid film laminate because of excessive curl.

Overs: always provide 10% over on printed pieces for box manufacturing

Seasons: Busiest season is August-November because of Christmas; most jobs take 3-4 weeks, some can be done quicker and some take longer if they are complex

Color of Rigid Box Stock: Rigid box stock comes in 4 colors. Vat Board is white, Chip Board is grey, Chocolate Board is brown, and Foil lined is silver. Not all types are available in all thicknesses.

Linings of Boxes: On custom orders, boxes can be lined in any color. Simuvel or peach board inserts are also available.

Dimension Measuring of Boxes: always go by inside base dimensions

Slipcase Hand Treatments: To make it easier to get into slipcase boxes, thumb notches or v-notches can be put on the sides of the box.

Box Covers for 2 pc rigid boxes: most boxes are tight wrapped, but for a more elegant look, some people select loose wrapped glued covers which are puffy.
